24 Arrests Made During a Week of Patrol by CPD Street Crimes Unit

The Chico Police Departments’ Street Crimes Unit arrested 24 people during the week as part of an effort to impact street-level crimes, according to an email sent by the department.

CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Police Departments’ Street Crimes Unit arrested 24 people during the week as part of an effort to impact street-level crimes, according to an email sent by the department.

Authorities began the crime sweep on Thursday.

The unit also confiscated more than 2 ounces of methamphetamine, about half of the 24 arrests were for narcotics violations.

The other arrests ranged from outstanding warrants to possession of a stolen bicycle.

Chico police released three mugshots as examples of the Street Crimes Unit including:

• Clevland Belton, 41, of Chico, charged with possession of a stolen bicycle, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia

Sarah Canter, 29, of Paradise, charged with five outstanding warrants (two felonies/three misdemeanors), providing false identification, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia

James Endicott, 27, of Chico, charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia behind the Safeway store at East Avenue
