Butte County, Calif.-- There were some significant races in Butte County this election.
Starting out with the County Board of Supervisors, in District 2, Debra Lucero won against incumbent Larry Wahl.
Lucero came out ahead with 55% of the vote.
Although some mail-ins are pending all precincts have turned in their numbers.
Lucero wins the seat outright and avoids a run off in November.
For District 3, Tami Ritter faced off against Norm Rosene and Bob Evans.
Current incumbent Mareen Kirk did not run for re-election.
Ritter won with a very close 53% of the vote.
Evans received 28% of voter support and Rosent comes in third at 19%.
Running unopposed were District Attorney Mike Ramsey, Sheriff Kory Honea, Superintendent of Schools Mary Sakuma, Troy Kidd running for Treasurer Tax Collector, and Clerk and Recorder Candice Grubbs also ran unopposed.
For County Assessor, incumbent Diane Brown was challenged by current Chico City Council member Randall Stone.
Brown looks to have won with 63% of the vote, Stone came in at 36%
For Butte County auditor controller, Graciela Gutierrez is currently the Assistant Auditor-Controller.
She ran against Kathryn Mathes,
Mathes comes out ahead with 51%.
In Glenn County and the race for County Supervisor District 2, incumbent Dwight Foltz was challenged by Paul Barr and Dennis Hoffman.
Barr comes out ahead, winning with 48% of the vote.
Foltz received 28% of the votes, Hoffman with 24%.
Running unopposed in Glenn County were Keith Corum for Supervisor District 4, Dwayne Stewart for District Attorney, Richard Warren for Sheriff, Sandy Perez for Assessor Clerk-Recorder and Tracey Quarne for Superintendent of Schools.
