UPDATE - A man has been arrested on Sunday in connection with a fatal shooting in Oroville that left one man dead at the Oroville Hospital.

UPDATE - A man has been arrested on Sunday in connection with a fatal shooting in Oroville that left one man dead at the Oroville Hospital.

In a press release sent by the Oroville police, it said that officers continuously tried to locate a suspect who left Adam Krater, 22, at the hospital with a gunshot wound. 

At about 9:30 a.m. Sunday officers located Noah M. Gonzales, 25, and took him into custody for questioning, according to the Oroville Police Department. 

After an in-depth interview, Gonzales was booked into the Butte County Jail for the murder of Krater.

Officers were also able to recover the firearm used in the shooting, but officials did not say a motive, where it took place or where the suspect was found.  

Gonzales will be held on a $1 million bail.

OROVILLE, Calif - The Oroville Police Department is investigating a suspicious death involving a man that was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head, early Sunday morning.

According to officials, officers were dispatched to the Oroville Hospital at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, where medical personnel treated a victim identified as 22-year-old Adam Krater.

The person that brought the victim to the hospital also left the area before officers could arrive, according to OPD.

Unfortunately, Krater died from his wounds and was pronounced dead by an attending physician, according to OPD.

Police are investigating the incident and attempting to identify where the victim got shot and the person who brought the victim to the hospital. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call OPD at (530)-538-2448.
