Shots fired on Fort Wayne Street. The call came in just before 1 o'clock on Thursday afternoon.

"As officers were en route, we received the call that the victim was en route to the Oroville Hospital." said Lt. Gil Zarate.

So, police headed the the hospital.

"The located a male subject with a gunshot wound to the chest, and a female subject who had a head injury from an apparent gunshot wound also," said Zarate.

Initially, it appeared that there were two victims of a suspect witnesses identified as 30-year-old Joshua Sealy of Oroville.

But police continued to put the pieces together.

The woman who was hospitalized is 27-year-old Christy Seim.

Lt. Chris Nicodemus of the OPD says they believe Seim and Sealy went to the house on Fort Wayne Street Thursday, both armed with handguns, to confront the victim and forcibly reclaim some piece of property.

The house does not belong to the vicitm, but they believe that the suspects were informed that that was where the victim would be.

Police believe that Sealy accidentally grazed Seim in the head with a bullet meant for the victim.

When Seim was cleared to leave the hospital Friday, police made the arrest, charging her with murder.

But Sealy is still on the loose, and considered to be dangerous.

"One firearm was recovered on scene, but it's also believed that the suspect still has a firearm," said Zarate.

Police are doing what they can to find Sealy before anyone else can get to him.

"The victim has a lot of family who are very distraught about there loss, which may result in some sort of retaliatory act," said Zarate.

Police have been canvassing the streets, but the scene of the shooting on Fort Wayne Street is the last known sighting of Josh Sealy.

"Be the best witness, tell us where he's going, what he's wearing, do not try to approach, do not try to detain," said Zarate.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Josh Sealy is asked to call the Oroville Police Department, 530-538-2448.
