### cecile cecile summer may be days away . but the warms days are already starting to roll in. and for some that means longs days working outside. boxes action news now reporter elizabeth zelidon spoke with some construction workers today to find out how they stay cool. elizabeth? reporter live cecile, for many this 90 degree weather is enough to keep them but for those who work in the summer heat . its more about thinking ahead. vo as the days warm up .. construction and road workers head out doors to get their jobs done. for the companies this is the best time to assign work because they don't have to deal with rain, and wind getting in the way. but for construction workers this means standing outside in the hot weather for hours. so i stopped and spoke with one employee today to ask what he does to beat the summer heat. sot full try to stay in the shade whenever we can take breaks drink a lot of gatorade. and just stay hydrated out here. vo when i did further research .. one article from the "safety and health magazine" says 17 construction workers died in 2015 because of heat related conditions. they add ways to stay safe . are exactly what cliff said . wear light clothing.. drink plenty of water . avoid caffeine . and stay in the shade. reporter live i'll have those tips on our website action news now dot com. and for those who aren't working in the heat . i spoke with people who happened to have the day off today to see how they stay cool off the clock. i'll have that coming up at 5 o'clock. in redding elizabeth zelidon action news now.
